Linx Media Group Company Statement
21. August 2009
MALTA – The Linx Media Group has today announced that it is seeking to put its businesses into liquidation and will cease trading with immediate effect.
As yet, the Linx Media Group does not know how long this process will take, but it will provide updates on the situation as and when information becomes available and when liquidators are appointed.
A company spokesperson from the Linx Media Group stated: “It is with great regret that we make this announcement. I appreciate the concern and frustration that this will inflict on the Eurolinx, BetOnBet, and Linx Casino player community. Affected account holders are those individuals who have agreed to a contractual relationship with the Linx Media Group through Eurolinx, BetOnBet and Linx Casino. All available player funds are held by these businesses. As soon as we have information on how to lodge claims with the liquidators, we will communicate this via www.eurolinx.com, www.BetOnBet.com and www.linxcasino.com.”
This is not looking too good, I had about 3k (slightly less then half my roll) there since february. Anyone have any experience with these sort of things? Should I just contact the liquidators and hope for the best? Or just consider it gone...

Basically its just gone. This happened with Battlefield poker. Ive lost $880 at Eurolinx, Im happy Ive lost only a small amount. I knew I shouldnt transfer monies with Triptanes, guy is cursed.
People should be really really careful when depositing nowadays.

Yeah, I was afraid of that... I thought the site was legit, being with Microgaming, having their own forum on 2+2, being on raketherake. But it seems none of these things really matter.
I probably should consider myself lucky I got 1500 out in June. After that I tried to get the 3k out as well, but it didnt happen. bankroll will need rebuilding (which sucks) but at least I can still easily play 50nl/100nl. I've seen people lose up to as much as 250k, so it could be worse. Still sucks though to lose almost half

guess that means that the other microgaming sites that are owed money by linx don't get paid either. Domino effect anyone?
I think I still have a small roll on purple lounge, time to withdraw I guess.

most likely domino effect is everyone thinking that their rolls on other microgaming sites are at risk , request a withdrawal and leave the sites without the players or the money to continue and hence failing.

people beleive ladbrokes is the strongest site to be on at microgaming, id tend to agree since they are a proper setup like paddy power

We can hold each other
Well Microgaming 1 lolzzz_321 1. I didn't get my money off battlefield in time but got the last of my eurolinx monies off via da goat .
I thought they were just having liquidity issues. I circumvented them a few time by cashing out 1k or less and emailing VIP for a moneygram as opposed to the bankwires that were not coming. I sent my last 800 something to da goat because I didn't actually need the money offline and I wanted it to grind up FTP. Sucks man.
We were discussing a prop bet on who gets their microgaming monies first, battlefield people or eurolinx people.
Never going to play at microgaming again.

yeah I'm just going to stick with the major sites as well; Stars/Tilt/Party/Everest.
I doubt anyone will see their money back or you'll at least have to wait a couple of years to see who will win the propbet

i've been reading up a bit on this. I think it will end up hitting all the 'skin' sites pretty hard, as people realise how much thinner the margins are on sites that have to pay overheads to a network and start to get scared about their money.
More and more regs moving to the big three I guess.
Which means there are likely to be some pretty juicy promos going on at microgaming and i-game sites
