See topic. Have these sites turned into a rockfest while everyone is clearing the big bonuses? (Eurobet 100% $600 etc). I'm planning on giving this up and come back to clear it later. Does anyone else feel the same?

I'm playing 1/2 limit right now.

I've been clearing the bonus at 2/4 limit and I find that the players aren't exactly rocks, but they are pretty darned passive. The thing that makes the players at PokerRoom seem better than they are is the fact that the rake is insane. From my database, at 2/4, the average rake at PokerStars is 2.87% of pot, at Party it is 3.26%, and at PokerRoom the rake is a whopping 4.77% of the pot. This means that you will win less at PokerRoom vs players of the same skill level as at the other sites. That bonus is pretty nice and does make it worth it for a while though

That sounds like a big catch 22.

I played pokerroom about 3 weeks ago. At 25NL it's insanely loose and aggressive. 4 or more people at every table pumping in bets preflop and postflop. You have zero chance to cbet or push anyone off a hand. Even then the raked hands was low. I quit trying for the bonus after I figurd out it would take me close to a month to clear at 25NL.

That site is lose at hell, certainly t 25 nd 50nl
100nl is loose enough to easily beat too.
Havent played any higher yet but i am tempted considering the speed at which ive cleared the bonuses.

I'm playing .5/1 LHE right now also playing for the bonus and it seems pretty fine. The play there is ALMOST as bad as at party, which is good. Rakeback helps with the rake as well...

Another site (not naming names) has started a big holiday bonus with PokerRoom and I'm sure that drawing quite a few bonus whores there. So, things will be tighter than usual for the next month or two.

Well it's going to take a long time clearing the full $600 at anything under 2/4 limit, there NL is odd it's like 2/2 blinds instead of 1/2 for example...

i 2 tabled 3/6 for a bit b4 my down swing and i cleared about half of the original sign up bonus.
Ive also 4 tabled 100NL full ring and cleared perhaps a 3rd of the bonus that way.
For sure it isnt the fastest, but for pure cash in hand pokerroms recent bonuses are by far the best in the market imo. I just wished they'd get better multi table software, that wud help

.5/1 will take around 20.000 hands. that's ~25 days for me. And the game is really soft...so I have no problems with it really. 25 days for $600 isn't so bad, especially as if I wouldn't be playing here, I'd be playing .5/1 at party and the difference is very very small in terms of gameplay.

I have been playing NL100, can easily find 3 to 4 tables with vp$ip above 27% or higher. Since the other skins have come on board this site def. has loosened up.

they aren't actually 2/2. The blinds are 1/2 but they call it 2/2nl because $2 is the min. bet amount on the flop and post flop

Bump on this:

I started today at Eurobet, playing 2/4 full ring. While 4 tabling, I noticed that EVERYONE at the table was a freaking TAGG.

eg. The highest vp$ip I met was 33%. Over 4 tables, almost everyone's vp$ip was 20 or lower. There were even a couple 5/5 guys.

I think I'm going to stick to 5max to clear this bonus.
