Agreed. But, free money is free money and 10x is no problem to clear in 10 days.

Looks like the inevitable move toward making bonuses harder and harder to clea is on.

I think it's just because it's a $100 reload, if it was a $150 or 200 you might see the 7x

The good thing about Party/Empire reloads - .50/1.00 is their lowest LHE game. It is damn near impossible not to break even or win while you are clearing your bonus. It is absolutely impossible to lose more than what you get in bonus. If you are playing LHE that is.

So you are saying that you cant have a 100 bb downswing? Yes it would be pretty rare, but you could lose, and you wouldnt be the only one that did. But yes, a good winning player is going to clear that ahead 19/20 times.

A good winning player will clear that ahead 99/100 times. 100 BB downswings do happen, but are extremely rare for decent players at the Party .50/1.00 game. I've never seen a downswing even close to 100 BB at .50/1.00. There's just too much dead money in those pots for that to happen enough to even make it a concern.

You're not a 2+2'er by any chance are you TrikFlow?

I can't play enough bonuses fast enough, so I kind of made up my mind not to chase bonuses over 7X. I would also like to send the message to the poker rooms that 10x bonuses are not effective.

On the other hand, if you have rakeback on Empire, 10x bonus is high enough for your rakeback to 'poke through' the bonus, even at 25nl, so you can get the bonus, and make some rakeback too on the added hand requirement. So maybe I'll make an exception with rakeback poker rooms.
I'm a know-it-all.

No, really.

Yes, it is huge, especially for folks with a limited bankroll or limit skill. The risk/reward ratio is beautiful!

But, when you are talking effort, dollars per hour, 10 cents per raked hand is a little thin compared to the usual offerings.

I'm not trying to be negative about free money, just trying to clarify the real value.
I'm a know-it-all.

Try four tabling. I will dominate this bonus in eight or nine hours tops.

Yes, you could do it on the 9th or even the 10th as well, cashouts usually take 6 hours tops at party, best give it 24 to be safe.

just wanted to remind people that this bonus is only valid TODAY, for the next 20 hours.

but caveat emptor... conspiracy theories are raging that this bonus is some kind of trap to identify bonus whores so that their accounts can be shut down.

http://www.flopturnriver.com/phpBB2/...ic.php?t=11229

that seems doubtful to me since this bonus was advertised in their general email newsletter.

Yawn yeah spread by people to lazy to call back to the helpdesk to get their account unfrozen. Seems that some people rather cry wolf then check their facts and I don't mean you CHezJ but the posters at BW and 2+2.

But yeah if you are afraid and are in risk of getting a heart attack when you make phonecalls to the helpdesks, be on the safe side an stay out of the bonus business

EDIT: Oh and thanks for the reminder sometimes these one day deals kinda slips your mind.

i just spent (wasted) over 1 hour reading through all the threads at bonuswhores.com and 2+2 on this subject. it turns out that the person who claimed his assets were seized by empire ended up getting all his money back. however there are an increasing number of people whose empire accounts have been mysteriously frozen this week. having said that, i see no connection whatsoever between that and this bonus. i will whore it and report back on my results.

i just deposited $200 and got the $100 bonus, with 1000 raked hands to play by may 20. all is normal in chezjland.

furthermore, when i fire up empire, the one-day bonus offer pops up in a window. this is before i even get a chance to login, so it is clearly not "targeted" to me as a bonus whore.
