So as a new user could I sign up today and get the $100 bonus, then deposit another $600 tomorrow for another $150?

That sounds right. You have to remember though, that the Feb bonus for the $150 only gives you a week to clear. I don't remember how many you need for the initial deposit, but you probably work those off first. So you have a week to play either 700 or 1000 to clear the inital $100 bonus, and then you have to play another 1050 before the 7 days are up to clear the $150 fo the February bonus. So if it takes you awhile to play that many hands, you might want to make the second deposit of the 600 closer to the end of the promotion, like the 6th or 7th, to give you a little extra time to get all the hands cleared.

the cool thing about party/empire bonuses is that you work them off by playing a certain number of raked hands (usually 7x the bonus amount) regardless of the limit. to work off $20, you play 140 raked hands which takes about 4-5 hours at a single table.

this is cool for the beginner because you can sit there playing $0.50/$1 for a few hours and thus expose yourself to minimal risk while working off the bonus.

but once you move up in limits, you kind of hope to get rewarded for taking on more risk. unfortunately, this is not the case at party/empire, as far as i can tell. to work off that $20, you still have to play the same 4-5 hours. the only way to accelerate things is to multitable. (others, please correct me if i'm wrong.)

at other sites, such as ultimatebet, you unlock bonuses faster at higher limit tables. so if you are a beginner playing $0.25/$0.50 or $0.50/$1, it sucks. $20 takes days to release. but once you hit $1/$2, the bonuses start melting a lot faster. this tracks more closely with the comp system at casinos, where the "high rollers" earn comps faster.

regarding party/empire, it occurs to me now that at a $1/$2 table, the rake may kick in more often than at a $0.50/$1 table, since the $5 minimum pot size for a rake is reached more easily. so in theory the bonuses should melt a little faster when you move up. can others confirm?

You can work it off even faster if you play $25 NL. Tables are raked once the pot hits $2.

I already cleared mine. Guess I should have deposited more but I wasn't sure how much free time I'd have this weekend so I just put in $160 for a $40 bonus.

I had to play 280 raked hands to release the bonus. I played the first 3 hours at $0.50/$1 and got credited for 112 raked hands. That's 37.3 raked hands/hr.

Then I switched to $1/$2 and it only took 4 hours to play the remaining 168 raked hands. That's 42 raked hands/hr. At certain stretches, it was close to 50 raked hands/hr.

So in fact the bonus does unlock faster at higher limits.

Damn! I played 1050 raked hands in a single session of 6-7 hours..

You play only one table at a time?

Everytime I started PP it came up with a Pop up telling me what bonuses I am available for. Told me that I had the Januarary Reload bonus which I think goes until the 15th.

JAN05REL I believe is the code I used. Used this morning at about 7:45 cst before I left for work.

oh sweeeet thank you for the PP bonus code. will try it tonight.

yeah i only play one table at a time. even if i wanted to, i could not multitable because i run the software in PC emulation mode on my iMac. it is extremely slow and takes up almost all of my 17" screen.

i am a dyed in the wool mac user and have never in my life considered buying a PC... but now i'm thinking how much more poker money i could make if i invested in a crappy old dell... augh, i have to vomit.

That code was the januarary reload bonus.

Everytime I opened up PP it would pop up what bonuses I am eligible for. That was one of them.
