I appologize if this is a frequent question. I've searched FTR and Google for any mention of PartyPoker containing spyware and haven't found anything, so I'm assuming it doesn't, but this appears to be a fairly knowledgable group on the topic of online gambling, so I figured I'd come here for verification of that assumption.

no it does not contain spyware. However, according to tis TOC it is allowed to take pictures of ur desktop to check to see if u are using any bots. If that is ur defition of spyware then I guess it does, but it doesnt in the traditional sense of the word.

I suspect by "bots" he is referring to artificial intelligence used to cheat.

vqchuang, thanks for the response. I saw that bit about taking pictures of the desktop, I just wanted to make sure there wasn't anything that isn't mentioned in the TOC.

Actually Party poker does more than take a picture of your desktop. They scan the processes running on your computer to see if you the known programs are running. Unfortunatly the bot programmers already found a way around this. The bot issue is somthing that concernse me about online poker. But is it just like playing against a regular player? they must have a pretty set poker style right?

Play No Limit if you're paranoid. There have been no claims of a winning NL bot, though there have been claims of a winning Limit bot.
I'm a know-it-all.

No, really.
