I sat down at a couple tables last nite and never could get into any kind of rhythm. The blind vs buy-in structure is all out of whack and with the kind of stakes involved, raises rarely get any respect. 10cent BB and a $2 buy-in seems odd to me.
Just curious if anyone is beating that game.

I used to play there when I still had the free $10.
I agree with you, the blind size seems a bit large compared to the buy-in amount, but I haven't played at any higher limits so I can't make any kind of comparison.
I was able to turn small profits from it (before I turned around and blew everything on MTTs ), but to do it I had to just camp for a while and hope for a good hand before my stack got blinded down too much.
If you're just playing with the free $10 right now too, I'd suggest going for the $1 buy-in Sit n' Go's. It takes longer to make money than it would in the ring games, but it's much easier on the bankroll in that you don't have to worry about hitting a cold streak of cards as much. I was able to finish ITM almost every time I played them by simply using the same camping strategy as in the ring games and just waiting out the loose/agressive players.

I'm playing on a small deposit but just wanted to check those tables out.
I've been doing pretty good at the $2.50 SNGs

With my free ten bucks I managed to finish 4th in 4 SnG's (ugh). Then I went to play a .05/.10 ring game (never played limit OR a ring game for real money) using my remaining money, and after losing 2 bucks I'm now up to 12 (two more than the free ten). So I think I'm going to try limit ring games more often. But yeah, that buy-in structure is odd.

I don't know what they have to say
It makes no difference anyway.
Whatever it is...
I'm against it.

Your going to run into that on a site like royal vegas that offeres people $10 free just for signing up.
People are goign ot treat that $10 like play money and play loose and crazy with it.
Get past the .05/.10 game and you can probably push past some of the "its free money, i'll just play every hand" mentality.

I'm corn-fused here. What's wrong with people treating real money as if it's play money? I'm not much of a NL player and I find it very easy to beat those games. Just tighten down and wait until you catch a real hand.
I've found the .10/.20 cent limit game to be very easy to beat if you are on the 10 dollar bankroll. They also have a nice deposit bonus. Slow cashouts though.

There is nothing wrong with it.
Beating hte game isn't hard if you just tighten down.
But if you want to get to a game where raises get some respect you'll need to get out of the micro limits.
