When you sign up to get rakeback, how is the rake figured?

Do they take any pot you place money into and count a percentage of the rake from that pot as rake you have paid?

Do they take any pot you win and count the rake paid from that pot as your paid rake?

Is Poker Tracker's rake numbers about right?

The reason i'm asking is because the money i'm told to expect from rakeback doesnt match what PT is telling me, and i'm hoping that PT is wrong =) ...

EDIT: just to give the numbers, in the last 26k hands of $50 NL Poker Tracker says my total take is $684.30 ... 25% of that would be $171

The rakeback calc on the rakeback site says that I should expect to make about $405 in rakeback with 26k hands of $50NL ...

Hmm, I did just see that the "total rake" field doesnt have a "$" in front of the number, so it might be talking about BB's, and that might explain the diffrence.

btw: If it makes a diffrence i'm talking about eurobet.

Thanks!

Q. Is poker Gambling?
A. Do you use correct bankroll management?

Say you're sitting at a full 10 person $50 NL table. The rake gets capped at $3. For the sake of rakeback, the $3 rake is split equally among the 10 players ($3 / 10 = $0.30). This $0.30 is added to your MGR (Monthly Gross Rake). Throughout the month, your MGR will constantly go up as you play more hands, and at the end of the month (if you have 25% rakeback), would be your total MGR * .25.

For example, my current month's rakeback:

Current Month's Totals
Site|Rake Paid|Bonuses Cleared|MGR|%|Rakeback Owed|July's Total
EuroBet|$1,478.00|$0.00|$1,478.00|25%|$369.50|$467 .49

For those stats, if I was playing full 10 person ring, my tables would have had to have been raked a total of $14,780
Goal for 2005: $30k
So far: $31k
