Hi guys,

someone recommended poker room school coz it had a free deposit thing but i think it's bullshit. I signed up and sure enough you get fifty bucks to play with (they tell you that it's because you'll recieve expert coaching). I went online to talk to their support and asked just what kind of coaching do you give? the girl didn't even know what i was talking about.

Fine, let's just play. Wanted to build a bank roll (there have been some big posts with people encouraging me to start with like $50 and play micro limit games) so i thought: perfect!

THIS SITE HAS SOME OF THE HARDEST POKER PLAYERS I HAVE PLAYED. And i'm taking one dollar tables entitled stuff like 'beginners'.

I play poker stars SNGs and and finish in the money about 50% of the time. On this site i'm lucky not to finish last.

They bet HARD. You can't see a flop for less than 4xBB. Then continue bets are something like 8x. I don't see this at pokerstars.

I'm wondering if they pay people to go into these micro games because they know it's where all the weak starting players are, and rake their money off them.

I find full tilt poker is also very different in terms of bigger bets. It's more like a casino.

Any thoughts?

Well I would expect the site to be harder if you have to pass a quiz about poker to play on their site (or get the bonus if I'm reading our review correctly).

I never really chased bonuses (partly b/c I'm from USA but also because I was dumb when I started) so I always just went after the softest games. I'm a big proponent of finding the game you can win the most money at. It sounds like to me this site is not conducive to that.

Full Tilt is more difficult that Stars at cash games, they are linked with a poker instruction site and have rakeback, which many grinders go after.

If you're not American you have a ton of options, partypoker, iPoker skins, Everest, etc.... I can't name them all because I don't know them but you get the point.

gl to ya

hmmm, didn't know that about full tilt.

I don't get the USA thing? if you're not American?

Seems like pokerstars is the easiest then. I prefer the software anyways.

cheers.
