United States Poker Players Inc. pic-club.

(I tried linking it but Xianti hates me. Help anyone?)

I wanted to bump the original post with this link but couldn't find it anywhere. I thought the idea was revolutionary enough to warrant more attention to it, so I reposted - hope no one minds.

Our Legal View

We believe Poker to be a game of skill with elements of luck that involves multiple players using their knowledge of the game to attempt to win all the chips in play. Poker on the internet is one of the fastest growing businesses in the world and we wish to provide a legal method for US citizens to continue to participate and profit in this growing industry. The Unlawful Internet Gambling Enforcement Act (UIGEA) recently passed by the US government attempts to prevent US poker players from participating in the game, but does not stop US citizens from participating in the industry. For example, you can still buy Party Poker stock if you want, you just can't play there with your money.

USPPINC as a company is designed to invest its funds at selected internet poker rooms for the benefit of the company. It is not simply a new method of financing what may otherwise be illegal if done by Americans. By employing our stockholders to play poker with USPPINC funds we expect to increase the value of USPPINC stock. We do not and will not facilitate cash transactions that would violate the UIGEA.
I don't have any money online right now, but I had planned on putting a good amount in come Spring. This is one of the options I'm looking at right now. If anyone has an opinion on this, I'd appreciate hearing it.

The site says they are up and running. Anyone try them yet. I am interested as I think it will allow us American players to find the foreign fish on banned sites for us. I am going to send them $50 next week if I don't hear anything bad here. Also regulations from the Treasury are due out soon from the US gambling ban and who knows if the sites will be open to us at all. I figure out $50 is no big deal and is enough to get my feet wet out there.

This usppinc IS going now. Getting started with a few poker sites, but as that proves itself in, more will see they can follow and all that.
PartyPoker and PokerRoom should jump into this deposit method! Can't see why they would not, as it gives them BACK their USA market.
