Hey, I just bought a new computer (bye, bye WIN98!! ).

Here's my question: Once I get all my shtuff off the old computer, can I reformat the hard drive and then use the old computer to let a friend of mine sign up for multiple party skins? Let me affirm that it IS for a friend, and I do NOT want to have illegal extra accounts for myself. My friend has only one computer, and doesn't feel comfortable deleting the REGEDIT thing. But he wants a Euro account along with a Party account (for rakebakk).

Alternately, If I [u]DON'T[/u ]reformat the drive, can I simply Uninstall Euro on my old computer, REGEDIT, and let him sign up w/o the HD re-format. My main concern is that I don't want to flag/jeopordize MY Eurobet account.

Follow up Question: I don't have a WIN98 backup install disc. But if I reformat the HD, I will need that disc. Where can I get one? My new computer will have a CDRW drive, so if there's a source on the web where I can DL WIN98, I can write it to a disk for the other computer.

I really need a known answer, not merely a, "Yeah, I think that might work."

Oh, yeah, and I'm dumb...so if someone could tell me HOW to reformat the drive, that'd be useful too. :P

Thanks!

EasyT.

Yes and or the format thingy, hmm Win98? *lol* Don't remember that far back but I think you could exit to dos and just write Format C:

That is if you not have any recover CD because then just put it in and let it do the work for you

Put disk in, reboot. At the a:\ prompt type format c: /q/u and press enter (q means quick, u means don't bother with unformat info).
Now insert your bootable 98 cd, reboot your machine, change your BIOS to boot from the cd, and off you go.
