Hi,
I started bonuswhoring a week ago, just to build my bankroll a little faster. I still mostly play 10 nL, allthough the roll is big enough for 25, or maybe even 50 nL. Here is the thing: I deposited $200 at poker time to get the $200 bonus and was planning to clear it in no time at 10 nL. I've played a whopping 20.000 hands in 1 week time and only accumulated 200 out of the 1400 needed player points . I tried playing 20 nL after reaching $300 at this site, but a couple set over set and AA vs KK blew me back to $200 in no time. So, allthough the accumulation of points would go faster at that level, I don't think I've deposited enough at this particular site to actually play 20 nL freely. What should I do to clear this monster? Play .25/.50 limit instead (no experience there)? Or just grind at 10 nL and hope to make it within 90 days or before going crazy?
Help me, please!
PS. There are easier bonuses to clear after this one, right?

if you have the money, just deposit some more on that site so you fell comfortable playing .10/.20. How many tables are you playing?

At 10 nl I play 7 tables, that is if there are that many full ring games going on. More tables would not be easy to handle with this software I think (o how I like Poker Stars). At 20 nL there are at most 4-5 FR-games running I think.

this is one of the few prima bonuses that works not on raked hands but in player points.
You get a certain number of player points per raked hand , and unles you are playing 100nl on this particular site even at 50nl youre looking at 15k hands toclear if no more.
Maybe try 1/2 lhe if you can, otherwise reload your roll and play 50nl at least.

Thanks for the replies.
So, of all the bonuses out there I picked the wrong one to clear at 10 nL, lol. Well, I'll just reload then and play 20, maybe even 50 nl... (good excuse for moving up I guess). Is the play at 50 nL just as bad as it is at 10 and 20 nL on Prima? Because, losing more money than the value of the bonus wouldn't be funny...

sure, there are some 100% match bonuses for a max of $20, or something of the like out there, for europeans, but you have to ask yourself if its worth the time invested.
or, would you rather buy-in a bit short, play tag/abc poker, and clear the same bonus faster at 25 NL? instead of carrying the recommended 10 buy-in MINIMUM for proper br mgmnt, carry 4 at 25 NL with the same $100. or, stretch it to 5 buy-ins at $20 by buying in with an 80% full stack. both work fine, and clear off bonuses while sitting and folding more than twice as fast as playing at 10 NL.
can you see where i am going with this? there is not a bonus WORTH YOUR TIME at 10 NL...period.

Ok, I understand.
Build my way up at 10 nl now, so that I have 20+ buy-inns for 20 nl. So, that'll speed things up a bit. Still going to take some time though...
I think there are bonuses out there that are clearable at 10 nl, but it has to be one which counts the raked hands played and not one based on player points. At 10 nl at Poker Time I get 0.05 player points/raked hand and need 7 player points per bonus-$. So, I basically am trying to clear a 140 x bonus, which is sick... At 20 nL things go faster, because one gets double the player points for a raked hand, and the minimum rake is reached more often.
Wish I figured that out a little earlier...

we all learn through mistakes. mine was opening a party account for $30. i cost myself over $400 in matched money on that one.
the biggest lesson...NEVER BUY-IN FOR A SIGN-UP BONUS W/O THE $$ TO MAX OUT THE OFFER!! if you are serious about chasing, that would be total blasphemy. stick with the smaller bonuses until you have the roll to max one out...somewhere around the $500 mark...which i believe you might be real close to, if not there...depending on last night's winnings...
