Hey, I was just wondering if anyone has every caught anyone cheating online and if the site did anything about it? Recently (ok, today) someone on UB was doing a bit of abuse, customer support doesn't care (as he is also pumping the rake.) But his abuse was blatent, beyond blatent. To explain; he made a raise on a flush draw, was reraised all in, and went offline. To those who don't know UB has 2 all in protections every day... He came back a few minutes later, and did the same with bottom pair... right after that, he came back on a different account, did the exact same thing two more times, and logged in on a third account... granted it was the span of a few hours, but still... he alluded to the fact that all 3 accounts were the same, but did not actually admit it... he referenced an all-in from the first account while on the third one. I of course contacted CS who assured me that it would be taken care of, but some of the other players told me that he is well known to those limits (0.50/1 , 1/2 NL) as a cheater and the most UB has EVER done to him was suspend his all in protections for one week on two of his accounts and some people insist he has 6 accounts...
Anyway, has anyone caught people cheating and had the site not really give a damn? If they want to let a blatent cheater play on multiple accounts (which in itself is a violation) it makes me wonder what else is going on... just looking for others opinions... and a site that cracks down on cheaters/abusers...

from my understanding, partypoker and pokerstars both, after it is obvious that the person is abusing disconnect protect, takes it away from them for good. I would think that is the standard at most sites.
its also super-sketch that he might have multiple accounts. I would tell UB your suspicion of that as well.

Well, UB support got back to me and said that they are continuing to look into the problem. When I asked why nothing was done when other people complained they said they don't discuss that sort of thing with any other than the one making the complaint and the one receiving it... Anyway, they are a lot more concerned about the multiple accounts than the all in abuse, (that's the only thing they mentioned in their reply) and told me if they verify he is using multiple accounts they will all be suspended. I don't know, maybe nobody else complained with actual evidence? I had all of the hand histories and the chat saved and sent in...
I still don't know if they're actually going to do anything, but at least they reply more than once...
If you disconnect again after both all in protections are used it just folds you and you're out the money in the pot...

You time out and your hand gets folded instead of going to showdown where you can win the partial pot up to the point you disconnect if your hand holds up.
And for the OP: if you have a decent internet connection, just play tables with no DP if UB offers them.
