Basicly, given what has happened with AP can those of us with bonuses left to whore trust Vegas24/7 or UB at this stage?
I believe that UB is on it's own software platform as opposed to being a skin so I think it should be ok in terms of the current software issues (as opposed to being wary of the owners) but my understanding is that Vegas is just an AP skin and so the same exploits used in the AP cheating could still be available (depending on if you trust the 4th or 5th AP release saying they have now found and fixed it)
I'm in two minds about it since I dont think they'd be stupid enough to still use the accounts or the ability while the investigation is on but I also dont believe the first time someone is caught doing something is the first time they have done it.
I also don't think they'd be targeting those playing at 1/2 LHE or $50NL but I'm not sure I really feel comfortable with 1/4 my BR on the site either (given the way I've been either been losing each session or winning maybe 1/4 what I lost the last session) but there is also the fact that at Vegas I only need 2k raked hands ($0.50 rake) to clear $500 in bonus and increase my br by 20%.
I just honestly dont know if the risk is outweighed by the reward (assuming I play break-even) at this stage so I'd like to hear opinions...as long as they aren't asking how anyone could even consider giving AP any business now

Don't even bother with any of these rooms. UB sucks in many ways regardless of having management connections with AP, and Vegas247 doesn't have the traffic AP has because they don't have AP's bad bead jackpot tables.
You have plenty of better options since you're non-U.S.

UB is only owned by AP, it is not linked to it much other than that you can trasnfer money between AP and UB.
Vegas is an AP skin so id trust iot just as much.
However, everyone is making 'ZOMG AP WTF ARE U DOING' threads but has anyone ACTUALLY LOGGED ON and seen how many players are there.
yes, ive left, but AP still has 20k players online every night.

Am I alone in thinking that AP might actually be the *safest* site to play at since the whole caboodle?

Also, do people really think the 95% of FTRers who don't play at mid-high limits are going to get affected by this kind of superuser account in any case?

Anybody playing at Absolute since the whole "superuser scandal" is a total moron, no other wayy of saying it.
Not only are you continuing to play at a site with a tarnished reputation and history, but you're also just proving to all the other poker sites that they can do whatever the fuck they want with absolutely no consequences whatsoever.

If you even remotely think AP has had "no consequences whatsoever" (what exactly do you think paying out 1.6 million dollars in cash is?) you're a total moron, no other way of saying it.
I'd play there still. I trust it.

Its an administrative bother at most. They were just giving back what had been stolen (and still made rake off every hand in which the cheating took place might I add). It's not like this has actually cost AP 1.6 million.
You tell me how AP has suffered from this long-term and I'll stop bithcing about people playing there.

what's shady is even though they reimbursed like $1.6M to players, they never released the perpetrators names....
Poker players are too intelligent to not see through this, it was a brilliant scheme setup by AP and would have succeeded if the ones involved weren't complete idiots.

You're misinformed. It's estimated about 800k was cheated. Due to the nature of poker its hard to tell exactly who that money came from. If I won a pot from you and then the cheater stacked me, who was cheated? Both of us.
AP payed out *double* the amount that they suspected was cheated.

___________RESTITUTION MY ASS........THE SITE NEEDS TO REIMBURSE EVERY DAMN PLAYER EVER PLAYED THERE AND IT STILL WOULDN'T BE ENOUGH TO CONVINCE A PRUDENT PERSON TO MAKE A NEW DEPOSIT. [/quote]

Some players are still claiming that they have not been refunded by AP.
AP also *conveniently* lost HH's so I have a hard time beliving that their estimate is any where near the actual figure.
They're not going to just pay double out of the goodness of their hearts.

They're not paying a dime "out of the goodness of their hearts"
They're paying it to not go out of business.
