PTR have found that the same security issues that Cereus had recently also apply to the cake network

Wow. This article summed it all up pretty well for me: Another Security Risk Found at a Major Online Poker Room Poker Blogs

That's how winners play; we convince the other guy he's making all the right moves.

That sucks. I've never had a problem though, or so it seems. But the fact is I've never been all that impressed with Cake. They do have a ton of fish and the play is S-O-F-T but the software sucks, the FPP program sucks, the traffic sucks, you can't use a HUD and I don't have rakeback there. I have about $200 stuck on there that I can't get off because they have a $500 minimum withdrawal for checks and I have no other way to get it off.

From what I could understand of the problem it seems that could affect any poker room. It is all a bit worrying to say the least.

You obviously don't understand it then. Cake and cereus used really weak security to encrypt the datastream and got found out. PTR are obviously going to test every network now and force poker rooms to use strong encryption methods.. If you are worried , just don't use a wireless router so that listeners can't listen in to your connection and the biggest security flaw is negated .
