I really don't play enough to amass significant amounts of Player points, but I would like to know what the big spenders (and middle spenders) typically do with their points. Especially interested for those on Party and Stars.
I know some people just get the first few things they can afford (stress ball, or books...) but it would seem like these are probably not the best use of these points.
I played a 500 FPP 3-table SnG on Stars last night that was Qualifier for the Sunday $1M guaranteed.. and it was soft as hell. Are the qualifying FPP tourneys the way to go?
Thanks, and sorry if this is a repeat thread...

I'm saving up for the 40" Sony HDTV on party, but I play a LOT and don't mind saving my points for a year. I have also gotten a few poker books and a jacket in the past as well as playing in some qualifying tournaments. Now that party improved their store though I wish I hadn't bought anything in the past so I could get my tv a few months faster

I just ordered a beanie and a thermos. I only play at Party during reloads, and have had my points expire twice, so I figured that I should use them.

I personally am saving up for some books... I hate this expiring party points crap too. Stars rules (though gathering FPPs is like watching grass grow for me)

just to bump an old thread.
Of Late i have been playing in the level one FPP buyin Satelites. They are so soft. Usually there is one seat given into the round two WCOOP FPP satalite for every 10 buy-ins/re-buys.
The usual round of events, turn 400 FPP's in 4000 FPP.
Once i have done this I play in the 1800 FPP 30 Man Turbo SNG's. These are relatively soft. And the top 4 places get a $215T chip.
I the last week i have turned 400 FPP's into 4 1800 FPP buy-ins, and have won two $215T chips.
Try the Omaha Limit Hi/Lo tournies for the softest games, and a high chance to turn 400 FPP's into 4000 FPP's.

~25000 party points expired on me one time. It was probably a day before they made their new store. I bitched at them pretty hardcore and they gave them back.
I am either gonna get an ipod or the bose headphones. I'm not sure if i should just get it and sell it or if i will keep it, but both of those things are things i'd use. not sure if i'll ever get enough points to get a tv. its a nice thought.

The only way to go on Stars is to get the Amazon certificates. If you do some math, you'll figure out you can buy two books with the $25 gift cert. for the same price as the book in FPP. Take a look. Pretty much goes for everything, TVs, moniters. Just buy a ton of $500 certs and you can get the stuff much cheaper.

best value on pokerstars is using the points to buy into the sunday $200 and $500 events.
