Royal Vegas Poker is sponsoring a tournament No limit Hold em free buy in ($5,000 payout to winner). The goal when registering is to represent your poker forum verse the rest in the world. The winner will be recognized aparently as one of he best in the world. If you think you got what it takes sign up ... Someone should add this forum to the long list of them. I'd gladly represent this forum.

I don't know the rules on links on this forum (most don't allow links ) so if you are interested click the link in my sig.

Nathan, you're fairly new to our forum, but I'll allow the link in your post (which I've edited in), as there doesn't seem to be any conflict of interests.

I've removed the URL from your signature. I'd much rather have it appear just in this thread than every where and every time you post.

Thanks.

I appreciate it, thanks.

It's on the 24th I believe at 8pm EST. I wish more people were interested , it would be fun to see how people rank within this forum.

Xianti I don't get how taking the link will be good for the forum when the members and the forum as a whole can win money, but hey, whatever .

Last year the same thing happened, it's ok though we could always just play for a different forum.

It almost seems you are discouraging more members to play in it.

Seems a little -EV to me

^ What are you talking about all of you? You don't choose certain people... the more the merrier. Also how are you discouraging members by playing in an open free *everyone can enter* tournament.

I would play if Prima didn't spontaniously ban my account for no apparent reason.

In all seriousness... fuck Prima.

I'm not trying to discourage anyone from playing in the tourney.

It has nothing to do with you guys. It's about the technology behind operating a site. We don't like too many "leaks" in traffic... Google page-rank and maintaining and defending our volume of traffic is important for attracting new members and building our community and staying on the search-engine map.

The decisions we make shouldn't be taken so personally. We are not tyrants here.

In other words theirs alot more than what you see that goes on behind the scenes. It's not discouring, it's all about containment. If you owned your own forums you'd probrably want your members to stick with you rather than go to some link they saw within your own forum. By having the link in my signature whenever I would post it would be there for new/older members to see. It is basically like strongling along with a giant ad banner.

Back on topic: Is anyone doing this? I guess I'm a loner on this one . lol oh well I tried.

Just came in 3rd out of 1432 people!

$575!

Should have won too. Was chip leader with three left and got all in with AQ against second stack with KQ. He sucked out and I couldn't recover. Oh well. Still very happy with $700CDN and 3rd place out of so many people.

Ya I heard that from the guys at PSO.

I was running that guy's show the whole time. He was getting lucky against everybody. I was coming over the top of him with trash over and over and he was folding and folding. Then I finally get a hand and he calls and sucks out. Oh well. I'm glad he lost. The other player was much better and deserved to win it.
