Can of Worms!!!
Let me start by saying I play only tournaments.
I have played at Party Poker for over a year, and really liked it. Now over the past couple week I have been playing at Poker Room and Poker Stars.
At Poker Room there not very many people, but they seem to play better than at Party Poker. There are a lot less all-in maniacs.
I really like Poker Stars. They have a great selection of tourneys, and lots of great features. You can also earn player points and redeem them for merchandise or for tourney buy-ins. Each player can also have a custom avatar.
If I had to choose one I would choose Poker Stars. The only thing I don't like about Poker Stars is that there is no deposit bonus.
Your best bet is to try a couple different sites. See what you like. But If you do choose Party Poker or Poker Stars use the links from FTR. Help support this site.

You've not posted a single post that didn't have to do with Check N Raise. If you even mention the Check N Raise site one more time, you will be banned for solicitation.

I would recommend Absolute Poker or Ultimate Bet if you want microlimit games (say $2 max buy-in). On Empire Poker, the smallest NL ring games are $25 max buy-in, and you really need at least $250 to weather the eventual storms. $500 is better.
You can play $2 max buy-in with $40.

prima poker sites are always good too for their good deposit bonuses and free money. 100 bucks will get you the max bonus at most of their rooms (instead of >400 for bigger sites)
competition is fairly soft as well.
