How long have these tables been there - I haven't played there in a while. Wouldn't non-beginners go there to beat the beginners or do they block you after you played a certain amount?

No. Beginners tables are only available for those that are new to the site. I think you can play there for the first 45 days or so, and then you have join the big boys at NL25.

When i first noticed them a month ago or so, I tried to join them and it gave me an error saying they are reserved for new players.
