Please wait for a site operator to respond.
You are number 1 in the queue, and the estimated wait time is 0 mins 30 secs.
You are now chatting with 'Kim'
Your Issue ID for this chat is XXXXXXXXXXXXXX
Kim: Hello, how may I help you today?
you: Kim, I have been locked out of my account for the last 12 hours or so.
you: Bret was supposed to email me and let me know what is going on, but he never did.
Kim: One moment please while I check your account details.
you: xxxxxxxxx@cox.net
Kim: One moment please while I check your account details.
you: ok
Kim: It appears you have registered multiple aliases on the Microgaming Network and they will require you to provide an explanation why.
you: so, why has no one emailed me?
you: I've got almost 1000 on account
Kim: I'm unable to see why you were not emailed. I apologize for any inconvenience.
you: I had an account at one of the prima skins, royal vegas I think
you: xxxxxxxx
you: later, I registered at another prima skin, and couldnt find my account details, that long account number
you: so i created a new account, xxxxxxxx
you: i've played at several, royal vegas, the gaming club, dream poker
you: are you there?
Kim: I will forward your explanation on to Microgaming Poker for consideration.
you: i got hassled by another prima site one time when i was cashing out
you: they made me provide a copy of a phone bill, drivers license, etc.
you: when do you expect to hear back from them?
you: I am waiting on a cashout for $900.
Kim: I'm unable to say as it depends upon them.
you: i never have received any email regarding this.
you: a courtesy email when the account was locked would have been nice.
you: you guys are really making me nervous here.
you: an investigation wasn't done when I deposited, only when I withdraw.
Kim: We do not receive notification when it is locked, it was locked by the Microgaming Network staff.
you: not good enough.
Kim: They locked it because you breached their terms and conditions by creating a second alias.
you: i didnt even know i was doing anything wrong when i did
Kim: As they are perfectly within their rights to do.
you: it
Kim: That is unfortuante.
Kim: Is there anything else I can help you with?
you: yeh, no kidding
you: yeh, give me my cashout
you: thats what you can do
you: where is microgaming located?
you: which island?
Kim: South Africa.
Kim: We are unable to process your cashout while your account is locked.
you: yes i know
Kim: You should be emailed when MicroGaming reply to us.
Kim: Is there anything else I can help you with?
you: do you think this is a good way to do business?
you: a good way to keep business?
you: i generated around $240 of rake in about a week for your site
Kim: Yes, it is a security measure to protect players and poker rooms against fraudulent behavior.
you: then i get treated like this
Kim: That's nice.
you: you don't really care too much.
you: nice attitude.
Kim: I have done all I can to assist in getting your account unlocked.
you: have you emailed them yet?
Kim: Yes.
Kim: I emailed them when I told you I would be contacting them.
you: I was told this already today by bret, and got nothing.
you: so you can understand my skepticism
Kim: And I have already apologized for any inconvenience caused by that.
you: not good enough
Kim: That is unfortunate.
you: what else is your site going to do to keep my business, assuming I end up getting my money back.
Kim: We do not offer compensation to players who have their accounts closed by Microgaming for potentially fraudulent behavior that breaches the terms and conditions they agreed to when they registered.
you: where are the terms and conditions at?
Kim: Particularly since as above, the account was closed by the Microgaming Network, not by our poker site.
you: link?
Kim: Just a moment please.
you: I'd appreciated if you'd quit calling my behavior potentially fraudulent.
you: I'm an honest person, and find it offensive.
Kim: To protect against fraud is the reason the Microgaming has rules against multiple aliases.
you: you mean like someone playing at the same table using two different accounts?
you: is that what this is about?
Kim: There are a wide varieties of ways people attempt to use multiple aliases to engage in fraud.
you: if i were to use multiple aliases to engage in fraud - do you think i would change the name by one character, and use the same email address and address info for both accounts?
you: does that make sense to you?
Kim: If you open the software, go to Help - Rules
you: what moron would sit down at a table using XXXXXX and XXXXXX2 as aliases? that would be pretty stupid.
Kim: I do not do the investigations or make the decisions who locks what aliases on the network. It is not my decision, I am simply the customer service operator.
you: do you have a boss?
Kim: Please read above: I stated there are a variety of ways players use it to engage in fraud, they also use them to try to engage in other rules breaches.
you: can you forward a copy of the email you sent to microgaming to me?
Kim: I am the supervisor on duty.
you: so you are not simply the customer service operator.
Kim: I could copy and paste the content however it is simply a copy and paste from this chat log.
you: you don't have a very good attitude to be in this line of work.
Kim: Thank you for your feedback.
you: so sarcastic
you: why do you act like that?
you: are you an angry person?
Kim: I've been told that on occasion, but I fail to see how it relates to your account.
you: you just seem to have taken a harsh tone with me from the start.
you: when i have been put in a bad situation.
Kim: You are in a bad situation because you broke the network's rules. I have done all that I can to assist you having your account unlocked and I apologize if it does not meet your expectations. However it is all I can do to assist you with this matter.
you: can i have an email address for microgaming?
Kim: No, Microgaming does not deal directly with poker players.
you: except for blocking accounts.
you: good setup. they do the dirty work, and don't have to deal with the customer. you deal with the customer, but claim microgaming is in control. very safe for both parties.
you: so i never get to talk to anyone that is responsible.
you: do you know bret?
Kim: Yes, he is one of my co-workers and another supervisor.
you: will you please have him email me?
you: i am curious why he didn't follow up
Kim: Bret has gone on leave and will not be back in the office for at least two weeks.
you: LOL
you: that's awesome
you: what time is it in south africa right now?
you: any clue?
Kim: 12:15 pm in Cape Town
you: is microgaming open?
Kim: The have a support center that we send the calls to that is open 24/7.
you: how is their support time generally?
you: are they responsive or slow?
Kim: It varies depending on the day and the issue.
you: a few hours would be reasonable though, right?
you: are you married?
Kim: I don't see how my martial status relates to your account.
you: so you won't answer any question that doesn't relate to my account?
you: is that the rule?
Kim: The chat service is to provide customer service, not for social discussion.
you: how busy are you right now?
you: helping lots of customers?
Kim: I'm also not required to provide any personal information beyond my name, which is in chat.
you: i didn't think you were required to.
you: i was just asking
you: do you like your job?
you: i guess we are done talking.
you: thanks for the excellent service, I feel much better about everything now.
Kim: You're welcome.

I have to say I think she did a pretty good job there.
My favourite bit:
you: are you an angry person?
Kim: I've been told that on occasion

I'm tempted to deposit into my Battlefield account again... their customer service is great.
Temptation to start up a "Kim Appreciation Thread" is gaining strength.

if you had said 'oh i didnt realize id made two aliases and its against the rules'
shed have said ok ill pass it on
and your account would be reopened on monday morning.
talking to them like this will get you nowhere quick, and trust me ive ahd accounts locked and funds confiscated and talking like this WILL result in them locking it.
Just try to be nice, and act a bit thick, and say you made a genuine mistake and youll prob get away with it.

I agree. Yes, it is unacceptable that Bret did not follow up with you. But as far as we know that is not Kim's fault...

I gave them a LOT of play in about a week.
I cash out 900 dollars.
The next time I go to login, my account is locked. No email contact from them whatsoever. They are holding almost 1K of my money.
I contact support and they tell me they will email me back the status of my account. 8 hours later, no email or anything.
Now they are asking for a copy of my id, telling me they will close the current account and I will have to use the old account, for which I still don't have the login info. I sent the id.
I was definitely sarcastic with the girl, but the support is shitty there.
Battlefield poker is just another shitty prima skin.
BTW - she did not email me back. About 5 hours later I went into live chat again and finally got someone to do something. No telling when this will finally get cleared up.
I see a lot of smart ass replies to this post, but if you were in my shoes, you wouldn't think much of BF poker right now. Not after having been treated great by Stars and Bodog.

Flap you broke the rules! You showed no remorse, you didn't apologise, you just acted like THEY'D been the ones to do something wrong and you expect either sympathy or for us to justify your actions? I appreciate you were angry and worried but all I can see here is a textbook definition of tilt and we all know how -EV that is.

Is that CSR your mom or your sister? They are seriously being assholes here. I didn't do anything THAT wrong, and there were never any bad intentions or actions on my part.
The Prima rooms are just shady when it comes to cashouts. That is the only point I was making. Keep your sympathy.

You are missing the biggest point here. They have your money and they are in control of whether or not you ever see it again. Dont piss them off!
Its pretty unlikely some customer service rep has anything to do with either locking or unlocking accounts so dont take it out on them or theyll either deal with your case at a snails pace, or just not at all.
Once youve managed to cash out safely THEN you can be as bitchy as you want about their service.

I found Battlefield at FTR. Surely I don't have to worry about the site stealing my money? You geniuses wouldn't pimp a site that would do that, would you?

I was going to say something mildly positive about how you will get your money back eventually, but after wasting 5 minutes reading the chat log and your followup posts here I'm just gonna say screw you. Shape up or stay the fuck out of the forum.
(And I hope X won't give me a strike for this but meh, it needed to be said.)

Halv, that post is way too harsh, give the guy a break, he's freaked out.
As for the chat I must say it is HILARIOUS! I couldn't stop laughing at yoiur witty sarcasm.
But on the other hand, the posters here are right. You want this women to feel like you are an honest and nice person so she'll be on your side, and now I don't think she gives a fuck to help you. My prayers are with you getting that money but if you don't, know that you dug your own grave, or you can at least admit you helped dig it.

LOL! Thanks! BTW - I've taken your $$ at Battlefield. You play like shit and like to pay off sets when you have top pair.

Next time put it in the commune and/or make it look like it's supposed to be funny. Fwiw I did laugh at some of the chat, but if you don't understand that verbally spitting at the support people will make getting your money back a slow process then you need to grow up or get out of online gambling. Snappy responses at forum members won't make things better.

Congratulations.. If that was meant to offend me then it didn't. With 1000$ on the site you couldn't even afford to sit at all my tables with a full buyin.
If it was meant as advice then it's true, to a degree. But with my postflop aggro game I get played back at enough with air/draws/worse top pairs in those spots to make loose calls. I don't know your screen name so I can't look at the hand in question.

I don't see any snappy posts by me. I do see you saying "screw you". Scroll up, I was civil throughout the bombardment of FTR braniacs.
You broke the rules, beg for your money. BAH

Nothing really specifically heavy, but the general tone in your posts aren't very good. The way you talked to the customer rep isn't either, you should know that if you break the rules (however minor a violation it may be, from your perspective) you need to pray to get your cash off the site. Especially towards the end of the chat you were just flat out being an asshole and for that plus the multiple aliases you deserve to lose the $1k.

I never played 100NL at battlefield. I don't think I ever played 100NL at any Prima rooms, but if I did then that would be last autumn. If you've seen me there recently I must have sat down at a table by mistake.
Congrats on getting your money. If you want to keep up the e-drama send me a PM.

flaptornriver,
I have seen replies genuinely trying to help or offering rational advice to your original post. The only posts being undeservedly rude and bitterly sarcastic are the ones you've posted, including your original chat with Battlefield.
For one, Battlefield is extremely diligent about security. It's just their policy. When I first created my ONE account, I was asked to submit my drivers license and proof of my checking account before I was allowed to withdraw any of my funds. I don't know if they do this for every account, and I hadn't done anything suspicious, so I imagine it may have been a random screening. Whatever. It was mildly inconvenient, but I did it and got over it. Now all is fine.
As for your abrasive, cynical attitude, your kind is not welcome here. Please learn to be more friendly and social or don't post at all.
Thank you.
