Hi,

so this is the story,

i received 50$ for free on absolute poker some months ago through an affliate. I lost them, stopped playing there, moved on - so far so good.

Recently a frined of mine told me i should try absolute poker again, I deposited 50$ , won little money and want to leave (not enough sng traffic). However my payout request were always cancled saying I need to play 2500 rake hands first. These are the restrictios of my old 50$ free. I told this to the support but they obviously dont care I deposited my own money. Although I told them I lost everything from my free money they wrote: "This message is to inform you that in order to cash out the 80$ you won due to a xxx Bonus, you must play 2500 raked hands. Once you have played those hands, you will be able to withdraw your available funds even if you have not made an initial deposit." Now my question is this legal? Am I wrong and they have the right to keep my money? I cant believe this is happening. Please help

All part of the T&C of the deal you made for the $50 free. Nothing is free in this world. By doing that, you lost Rakeback possibilitys and $50 of your own money. I'd play it out and then withdraw. Even if it was illegal, what you gonna do? Their bank is in Germany.

Dude, you took their $50 and lost it - why do you think the rules should be different than if you'd quadrupled up? You took the $50 and accepted the terms - not only is it legit but you have no cause for complaint at all.

On the bright side the lower level SNG's and limit games are very fishy on AP so you should stick around here at FTR, improve your game and make a lot of money.

I don't think you're in the wrong and ethically I think that your raked hands requirement should have ended once you busto'd the free $50 in your account.

But in the end, what I think and whether AP is ethically wrong don't mean shit. They can and will keep your money unless/until you satisfy their T&C. Always read the T&C before playing a site or accepting a bonus when your own money may be on the line. My advice: try and meet the raked requirements. If you go busto, chalk this one up to a $50 lesson in bonus whoring and move on. Not much else you can do.

Yeah i know their games are fishy but their rake is really high at low sng stages and there is not enough traffic when I wanna play.
However,, after some more emails they finally accepted my request
And I still think they HAD to because even though they gave me 50$ free, this was no "gift" it was advertising. I dont think just because this 50$ had some special conditions my own money should have those , too.

The thing is, you took their $50. What you did with it then is of no consequence - the agreed price for this $50 was 2500 raked hands.

Think of it this way - you buy a sofa and agree to pay in 12 months of instalments. As you're struggling to get it up the stairs to your house, you lose your grip, it slides down the stairs into the road and gets crushed by a truck. Do you then refuse to pay the rest of the instalments to the sofa company?
