Obviously someone broke The Golden Rule, and this bonus got killed. (Luckily I was quick and got mine!!)

After some discussion with others here in the forum, I've decided this rule needs further clarification.

There are many, many bonuses that don't require that we avoid Customer Support. We bonus-hunters don't have to cheat, or create multiple accounts, or otherwise sneak around in order to make money off the poker-sites. We can follow all the rules and still wind up with tons of bonus money in our wallets.

With that said, I'd like to suggest that bonuses come in 3 varieties.

THE REGULAR BONUSES:
This is your typical sign-up bonus. The code probably hasn't changed for months or years, and there's a long, long history of speedy payments from the poker-site or casinos. These are non-dangerous bonuses. Simply follow the wager requrirement and expect to receive the bonus. If you have a problem with this type of bonus, by all means, contact support and get it straightened out...get paid what you were promised.

THE RELOAD/SEMI-SENSITIVE BONUSES:
These bonuses run down the middle of the road. They are usually 100% legitimate and published on the websites of reputable poker-sites and casinos. You usually have a short window of time to deposit, and somemetimes they get cancelled without notice. These are also relatively non-dangerous, depending on the source. If you witnessed it with your own two eyes on the pokerroom's website, it is non dangerous and the terms are all spelled out. Other reloads are just ones you heard it worked, but you didn't see it yourself. You might not know all the terms, and you might be wrong about what you heard. We all get burned on one of these from time to time, but it's rare. In the case of a Reload Bonus, you have to use some judgment of your own before you decide whether to contact support. You need to decide if this bonus might be a Renegade Bonus that you misinterpreted as a reload.

THE RENEGADE BONUSES
Renegade bonuses include any bonus not intended for the general public. It could be a bonuscode that "leaked" out to the public. It could be taking advantage of a unique scenario that the pokesite didn't anticipate. Or it could be an outright computer glitch that's paying bonuses completely unbeknownst to the pokersite. Now we're in the territory where contacting Customer Support is a major no-no. By contacting customer support about renegade bonuses, you jeopardize the bonus, and you cause problems for other bonus-hunters ahead and behind you. They guy way ahead of you is going to be upset if the pokersite decides not to pay him after he's played 3,000 hands for the bonus. And the guy behind you is going to get denied for the bonus before he starts. In the worst cases, everyone involved could be labeled "bonus abusers" and get their accounts closed and BankRolls confiscated!

Renegade bonuses tend to be super-juicy, because why else get excited about a risky Renegade Bonus, when you could just stick to non-risky regular bonuses. If a bonus sounds too good to be true, it's probably a Renegade. When you read in this forum that you can stack 8 Party bonuses all at once; or that at Martins you can clear a $200 bonus at the same time you're clearing a $600 bonus; or that at Pacific you can withdrawal their upfront money without playing the full wagering-requirement ....those are clearly renegade bonuses.

Being a good bonus-hunter means being aware of what sort of bonus you're working on, and acting accordingly when it comes to Customer Support.
