I start a tournament whit 1500 chips, I played a total of 6 hands and i finish on top 50 out of +3000 players.
I played very very very tight, only KK AA QQ, all in every hand.
I had some luck : - before to put BB i was moved to another table almost every time and when I had the opportunity to put BB nobody was there to steal it.
Because I was moved very often, nobody knew how tight i play, so that's how I doubled and tripled up my stack, every time.
You should try.
This it happens after many other tactics. I have a full notebook )

Ok, being nitty is one thing, but AA KK QQ... you're going a little overboard there bud.

Basic poker theory dictates that the object of the game is to get your opponents to act differently then they would have had they been able to see your hole cards. By playing as tight as you do, you (more often than not) clue your opponents in to the general range of your played starting hands. You can't get proper value out of your big hands if everyone knows what you're holding. The least you can do is try and capitalize on your tight image by bluffing or stealing every now and then.

Anyhow. I'm by no means an expert, but that just sounds way too tight to me.
