i did a similar thing last night at a NL ring game (though i didn't fold the river). had As 3s and flopped Kx Kx 5s. there were only three of us so i took at stab at it, thinking my ace high might be good. made a half pot bet, got called by 1 guy. damn. turn was the 4s and i just checked, totally giving away the fact that i had no king. amazingly, the other guy checked through. what's worse was that i was completely oblivious to the fact that i now had a redraw to the nut straight flush (12 outs!), and i missed an opportunity to get a lot more money in that pot. river was a 2 and i nearly check-folded, thinking i had nothing. then i looked at my cards and could not believe my eyes. i bet about 1/4 the pot to make it look like i was trying to buy it, and the guy called me with AQ. he just about vomited when he saw my runner runner wheel. but hey, it's his fault for giving me that free card.

You should change to a four colour deck. You won't "miss" a flush again.

ya, ever since I folded a nut flush because I missed a gutshot straight, I switched to the 4 color deck.

I switched to the 4 color deck after making a horrific call on what I thought was a board but really turned out to be just all .

I was very tired.

Yes, I brought a knife to this gunfight,
just the other day I mugged a mountain.
So bring that shit, I've had practice.

Isildur1 is back and making his presence felt rather quickly on the high stakes tables. This last week was no exception. Playing the action-packed game of pot-limit Omaha with nosebleed players such as durrrr and Urindanger was the perfect recipe for huge pots. This week we examine three of those pots; all pots were greater than $400,000! All of these pots were played at Full Tilt Poker’s $300/$600 Pot-Limit Omaha tables. Last week’s largest hand involved, of course, Isildur1. At a six-handed table, Brian Townsend folded under-the gun and SxMxF limped in middle position. OMGClayAiken limped [...]
