i built my stack up t0 $950 and played lots of hands without any fear. My opponent had $375 in front of him.
CO(regular) raised to $10, hero picked up AKs on BT and 3 bet to $30, CO 4 bet up to $130. Hero went into the tank for two minutes and shoved over . CO called my shove with KK.
i saw an Ace on the flop, blank turn and blank river. So villian got toasted, speechless and berated me fiercely. I kept saying " sorry, man" more than three times and told him that i wasn't really scared to play AKs this way with my monster stack.
Is this a big mistake or just a small mistake? I thought he might resteal with air or 4 bet with QQ. Wouldn't you guys make these moves very often in online aggressive cash games ?

Had he ever restolen you before? I rarely see people 3 bet live, nevermind 4 bet. I'd be deathly afraid of a 4 bet unless you knew something else about him other than that he's a reg.

the guy raised lots of hands and played semi-loose aggressive style preflop and postflop. I aggree that not many live players are capable of 4 bet stealing in these CO vs BT situations.

Had you ever seen him 3-bet before? With QQ or worse? AK? AQ?

Lots of players who will play loose and aggressive have terrible ranges in these spots.

i saw him 3 bet with QQ and AK before. Rarely did i see him 4 bet with QQ or worse in this session. Actually, he is a OK semi-loose aggressive regular and not wide at all. Anyways, i lost AK to A3s a few hands later when a 40BB short stack donk shoved over my UTG open raise

Those two ranges are LIGHT YEARS apart. I call the short stack shove as light as AJ/KQ/A9s/77.
