Since i turned 21 and started going to the casinos,i get no respect or credit on the tables. But whenever this happens i tend to do very well since the older crowds will call me on their flush draws, straight draws..and over cards.Has anyone ever came across this and if so what do you do to gain no credit at the table when you first sit down?
(sounds crazy, but hell i tend to do very well when this happens so i was just wondering)

Try asking if anything is wild. Or tell them that you've almost mastered the .50+.10 tourney tables and wanted to try something new.

All kidding aside. The best thing you can do is nothing at all. Let your youth be thier downfall. Nothing you do is gonna get you any more or less respect. Us older folk just hate younger kids on principle. So let your game do the talking for you. On the other hand. You could act immature if you're looking to put them on tilt, but that's considered bad table manners.
The older the players at a casino in "general" tend to be on the conservative side. So if you want action. Don't act in a way that will make them fold. That equals less money for you to take down.

Do NOT EVER brag about your poker accomplishments, no matter how big or small. As far as casino players are concerned they should believe this is one of the first few times playing NL live for you.
Money tends to be deep on a NL table, if you've just sat down you will be bullied for a while until you develop a stack, be patient, let them push out of a few marginal pots, when you slam your stack in against they'll think your making a stand and will be more inclined to call.
Like Fnord has stated, talk about anything but the game going on. Although, you should always let other players talk about the game, its the easiest way to gain info. Just ask questions, people are more than ready to talk about how to play poker, do not let yourself start answering questions about plays though.
Above all in B&M play, be the friendliest one at the table, never get angry. Always congratulate someone who outplays you. Nobody ever worries about the easy going guy, they just wonder why he's got so many chips.

I have a good story to go with this. The first time I sat down in a real B&M table (acutally I wasnt even 18 yet at that point) this guy, probably 50ish in age, made some comment to the guy to his left, also about 50ish about all these damn kid players that have been popping up in the poker rooms recently. I was like great they already have me stereotyped, so for the first two hands I acted a bit reckless and unaware, wasting maybe 5% of my stack, and trying to fit into the stereotype of "those damn kids" by being a bit on the arrogant and immature side. Then the third hand I limped K9s from the small blind and took the old guys entire 90bb stack when he showed down A8 TPWK to my nut flush. It was beautiful.

All of the older players at my local B&M seem to be calling stations and ignore all odds of the game because they're one card away from a straight or flush. They tend to disappear after a while because they draw way too often... then again i play limit

If someone next to you is friendly, ask them how long they've been playing poker. THen if they ask you, you can lie and say like 2 months. Pretend QJ is an awesome hand, or something. IDK.
