I just got back from a quick weekend trip to the Borgata. The poker room has about 35 tables, and on the weekend at prime time they are all full. They are going to expand in June, (building a entire new room) with 85 tables, plus more restaurants. It was impossible to fine a place to eat in under 2 hours on Sat. night except for the tiny poker room grill.

The first table I sit at is $1/$2 no limit. Buyin between $60 and $300. I sit with $200. This table was absolutely crazy. You could not see a flop for less than $25. a $25 dollar raise would get 1 to 3 callers. So at this point I am like WTF, I buckle down and play tight tight tight. I limp on occasion or see a flop calling raise with alot of callers, but in general not much happens for awhile for me, the pots easily get over $200 a hand. Finally in the big blind I catch KK, Someone in early position opens for $35, no callers, it gets to me I make it $100. He only has maybe $100 more behind if he calls, so he pushes all in, I call. He has AK, K on the flop MHIG. A little later I see a guy win a $1800 pot soon after, 3 guys all in. Crazy stuff. Then I call the standard raise from a guy(loose aggressive, betting everyone out of pots) with about $900 stack, I have 44 and about $450. Flop come A94, he bets $50, I think for a few seconds, then push all in for $450. He tanks it for a couple minutes he calls with AQ, I river the 4th 4 just for grins. A little while later the table changes over and things settle down, I limp with 7d6d. A few people in the pot. Flop comes K high all diamonds. One guys leads, I put him all in for about $200, he calls in a second, I think I am toast. He has KK and the board does not pair, MHIG. I leave that table with about $900. Not bad for 3 hours.

For the rest of the trip the $1/$2 tables that standard raise was $10 to $15. Very loose very bad play, No need to make marginal plays, just sit back, wait for the big hands and bet hard.

I did buy in to a $2/$5 game, I sit with $300. 10 person table, there were stacks of $2500, $2000, $1500, $1000 etc.. all around the table. I sit for a while, but I don't catch anything, I leave down $100 (the only table I left all weekend down).

The trip was nice, I was playing super tight, betting aggressive, and I was getting action. I end the trip up about $1400. Not bad considering I only took $1300 with me.

As I said earlier, in June the are expanding the poker room and adding restaurants to support the crowds they are getting. I plan on going back as soon as they finish expanding.
