I think my weakest game is playing against the LAG. I have a harder time putting them on hands, I am unsure when it is better to re-raise, or just call down. These guys eventually get me on tilt and get me to either call off my cash with medium holdings, or hands that I am too scared to play for 1/2 my stack, or I push too hard when they actually have a good hand and get stacked. Don't get me wrong, I tend to be profitable with these guys but not always, and spew chips away. Over the last few months I have gotten much better, but still don't have a good strategy vs these guys. Any advice on where to turn for reading material.
1) should I loosen my range against them? What if it is short handed table like 5 people, and all they do is steal, steal, steal. How many streets do I call with a top pair? medium pair? When do I re-raise? what if the board is draw heavy? I know these are pretty broad questions, but I feel like I need some direction to improve my game.

Suck it up and be ready to re-buy. There is no easy, comfortable way to pwn them the way you can more predictable and passive folks.

Against really splashy players you just have to be ready to play for effective stacks. If you can't read them and are deeper than you are comfortable you need to be able to put your ego aside and walk away from the table.
CHIPS AT TABLE 23!
