i just got back from vegas and wanted to let you know what was good and what wasn't. i stayed at the flamingo which was great and the pool was perfect. i played in the poker room there one night and it was ok. they had a couple of ok promotions like if you get AA or KK cracked you get some money but overall their poker room is not that great. i played a poker tournament at the fitz and it was good. there wasn't very many players but the structure was good. i didn't do very well my AQh died to an all in pre vs 99 but my friend took 2nd in the tournament. we also played in a omaha h/l tournament at the orleans but this tournament sucked. everything in the first hour and a half are good. but then the blinds just go retarded. the blinds were going good then when the second break was over we left with the blinds at 400/800 and when we came back they were 1000/2000. talk about missing some blind levels. come back and almost everyone was a short stack. especially playing a limit game you didn't even really have any time to build a stack at this point. the only good thing about playing in this tournament was the unexpected meeting of someone that i play with on fortune. it was really good to meet him and play live with him. overall the trip was great and the cash games are very juicy just watch where you play. even the 1/2 or 2/5 game at the bellagio is not a good idea. play at the smaller places and you will rake in the money very easily. big fish.
