Does anybody play in B&M's in England?,
I'm based in manchester most of the time and i think there may be a game in Salford but i need to do some research, Is it all pot limit in the UK or is no limit popular too?

Grovesnors in Salford has a MTT on Sunday nights starting at 9pm (but get there for 8:45 at latest to register). Its a 2 hour rebuy and then a top up. Final ten players get paid out but only last 5 get a decent amout.
Cost is £10 + £1 initially then £10 for every rebuy. Can take a while to complete depending on the number of entrants but last time I played I didn't get to bed until 6am! [/i]

Cool, unfortunately ten pound rebuy is a little steep for a student like me, if it was 10 pound freezeout i'd be there but 2 hours is a long time for rebuys, is it like an online rebuy where everybody plays like a nutter for the first few rounds or is it vaguely sensible? How many players usually compete?

I'm afraid it gets a little silly for the first hour - some people just go all in blind, get beat and buy another rebuy then do the same again. The most rebuys I've seen at one table in the two hours by one player was 14! I tend to budget for about £50 which allows 4 rebuys. The first hour and half is just luck in most cases as a lot of players won't fold under any circumstances. Once the rebuys stop then the poker starts to be played.
However, its probably not an ideal game for a student - unless you've got rich parents.
