You'll know basically the type of players they are after 2-3 rings... and hope your not planning to play limit 2-4 or 3-6 its family pot nearly every hand or non-stop call down til river not sure about higher limits though... NL is much easier most of the time people aren't aware about position & opening and calling raises out of position with shit hands anywhere from low suited connectors - K9 Q10 K10 stuff like that... just play TAG style and when you hit a hand theres always gonna be at least one person to pay you off for instance just the other day i was in a hand where i raised 4xbb in MP 3-4 people call then some old guy (lucky that night) re-raises 100 on top with 34 diamonds, some guy calls to my right with AQ (heart or o/s forgot) everyone else folds... flop comes JTsomething both check, turn comes 4, old guy checks, guy on right bets 40 into a 300 dollar pot, old guy calls, river comes (neither improved) old guy checks, other guy bets 120, old guy calls... also when you get to feel comfortable & are heads up or 3 way dont be afraid to raise with nothing post-flop usually you'll take it down if your called by 1 you can either fire again or slow down based on caller.. for instance after seeing that old guy play i got involved with a hand with him (duno if he noticed i only played 2-3 hands and 1 of them was a free check on BB) flop comes bunch of low cards he throws out a weak bet probably 10% of the pot (obviously i missed the flop but i just thought fuck it) i raised him half the pot & he called (scared me but i continued) turn comes blank he checked i fire 1/3 pot he calls (at this time im turning white cause i only have about $10 left @ a $200 pot) river comes blank again he checks, i almost checked cause there was no way he was going to fold but i threw it in anyways (thinking i was done for the day) and he folded lol for 10 funky ass dollars when he has near 100 of his own in there, my eyes popped open & my jaw dropped basically like your first time @
