there's this guy at my ($50NL) table who likes check-calling midpair for big bets. So i made a note.

Just looked over and he's up 100BB, making me think this is not the crappy player I thought, but a crafty, shifty one.

This is apropos of a question I've asked a couple times in a couple forms: how do you find a nice target? Lots of posters have said "you can tell in 2 orbits who the fish are?" and I am deeply suspicious of that.

There is this very nitty player who pretty much plays every day at my tables. I figured it would be good to know his game so I decided to analyze my hands against him in PT. It turns out he has a very predictable preflop play. He raises a different amount with different hands regardless of position.

This is his raising range:

2.5 BB = AA, KK
2 BB = AK, AQ, QQ, JJ
1.5BB = TT
1 BB = AJ

He also limp/calls TJ+, pocket pairs, and Axs.

I have almost 5000 hands on him and I have never seen an exception in his preflop play. Needless to say, he is my biggest target.
