This hand happened last night between my buddy at the table and a donk. My buddy is fairly new at holdem and to this table and didn't know anything about the player.
Hero(my buddy) has $200
villain has $122
Hero is dealt Ac8c in HJ and raises to $10.
Villain calls on the button, everyone else folds.
Flop is Ad 8d 3d. ($20)
Hero bets $15 and villain raises to $30, Hero calls.
Turn 5d ($80)
Hero checks, Villain checks.
River 3s.
What is our line here? Are we check calling? Check folding? This hand seems really strange and opponents line looks fishy.
Note: I actually have alot of extra information on the player, but want to see what other people would do barring no information on this player. What makes me most suspicious is why he checked the turn.

It may be useful information that villain checked very quickly on the turn.

I would just ship it in on the flop because we're out of position and don't want to give a free turn card. If he's got the flush, then you'll just have to suck out.
Fail that I'd bet/fold $40 on the river as a value bluff.

its a no-brainer shove for me given that its only 60BB deep. Your equity is good vs his flop minraise range.

The extra information I have is that this certain villain likes to minraise on the flop with middling pairs, check the turn, and then bluff the river. I've seen him do this 3-4 times and have called him down with a weak pair and he showed king high. How would this information change the way you play the hand?
Is it more valuable to to use your hand as a bluff catcher? Or should we still just ship it because of the board texture.
