Where: Rutland Place, Edinburgh
When: Monday nights
What: £10 re-buy Pot Limit MTT
Who: Locals and others making up a field of about 50 entrants, giving a prize pool of about £1300

The casino is on multiple levels. The main casino floor has roulette, consoles and blackjack, with the poker happening in the basement level. Both levels have a bar and a kitchen and waiting staff and, whilst playing, soft drinks are free of charge. Food is too, but you are expected to tip. Alcoholic drinks must be paid for. All areas of the casino are non-smoking.

The level of play is generally tight, with many of the players knowing each other. There is generally a lot of banter between the players and this leads to a good atmosphere around the tables, something that even the unknowns can join in with. As is usual with a lot of players that know each other, play can get heated, but this is to be expected.

Generally, a good place to play if you are short of something to do on a monday night.

Heh! I finished second and took home £270. Not a bad way to spend four or so hours, especially since I don't play Pot Limit and never have. Hell, I only found out it was PL when it started!
