I was thinking about getting one of these top of the line card shufflers that are supposedly reasonably quiet and easy to run for my home games that I host about 2 times each month. Does anyone have some experience with them? The $500 price tag is a little pricey to say the least, but if it works as advertised, I may be able to pull the trigger.

just use 2 decks and have someone shuffle one while the other is being used....

that way you save 500 bucks and dont miss a beat.

I do the 2 deck thing but it has its own set of problems. Half the players @ my games are idiots and can't walk and chew gum @ the same time and I get a LOT of complaints from some players about using two decks. They say it's confusing and they don't want to do it. As a compromise, we use 2 decks when the table has 8 players or more and 1 deck when we have less than 8 @ the table.

This solution would be much better because it's still one deck and works with the push of the button.

Anyway, I'd rather this not devolve into a "why not just do" [insert some other option here] discussion. I just want to know if anyone has used this machine or heard from others who have. If it works as advertised, I'd like to get it. But, if it is prone to damage or is annoyingly loud, I'd rather not invest the money.
