On Saturday night,I played with a bunch of 50-75 BB shortstacks in a loose juicy game.Unfortunately,I lost a big pot with AA to a huge donk who called my $35 preflop reraise with 66 and hit set on a monotone flop(I had overpair+nuts flush draw) Also,I lost two flips with AK for total $220.At this point, i was down like $450, felt frustrated and lost a bit discipline. Most ppl at my table put money in bad consistently but got rewarded for no reason.I really had difficulty playing my best A game cuz I simply couldn't win a damn big pot. However,it's just two hours into the game early in the session. Should I quit it or stay focused on my present hand and never say die?BTW, my pocket bankroll(stop loss limit) is 3-buyins in general.

quit whenever this dumb statement makes sense to you. If you don't think it's dumb, quit forever.

drmcboy you are awesome.
pokerfan, if you're gonna sit there and be pissed off because you got bad beat a couple times, leave the room and go back another time. Is this the first time you've had a session like that? I got the idea that you played quite a bit.

yeah, i rarely got pissed off like that. I couldnt win a pot with AA, AK and QQ and started playing my c game. The funny thing is more and more big donators were coming late saturday night. Hmmm, i left casino and felt like i was robbed of a chance to PWN them.

it happens. seriously, this is as standard as it gets, these types of games are hugely profitable yet also high variance, and if you don't think you can get run down/unlucky/lose every flip on a lot of nights even when playing your A game, you need to rethink what poker is all about.
I've gone about 40 straight hours of live play without getting AA once and KK only a couple of times, i've managed to minimize my losses and not get tilty about it.
