This happened in a home game.

Flop is dealt, checked around. While the CO is deciding what to do, the dealer mistakenly thinks the action is closed and deals the turn.

Mass hysteria ensues. Some say the turn card should be mucked, the CO acts, then a new turn is dealt. Others say it's a live card but the CO can still act next. We voted and allowed for the latter.

What's the casino ruling in this situation?

i think yhey would pick up the turn card and the burn card. reshufl the deck then deal the burn and turn card. that way the same burn and turn cards have the same chance to be dealt.

I would leave the burn card there, and reshuffle the deck with the turn card.
Playing big pots at small stakes.

Thanks for the replies. This is copied from 2+2, and looks to be the correct "casino" way of handling the situation:

1. Exposed turn card is set aside.
2. Action on flop is completed.
3. Burn and turn what would have been the river card.
4. Players act.
5. Shuffle the stub with the turn card that was set aside.
6. Bring the river without burning.

i have played at 4 diff card rooms and seen it resolved 2 diff ways. so it more or less is what ever the floor says it is. but you shold try and know the rules of the house befor you play. and rockymoose said it was a home game so just post the rules or a rule book next to the table.
