OK, I am looking for some help on this.

Luckily I was not involved in the hand. I do not really know how the betting went but basically player one flopped the nut flush, player 1 bets and player 2 calls. The turn comes a blank and one of the players moves all in. River is the ace of spades giving player 2 a full boat. So he wins the pot right? On further examination an ace of spades appeared on the flop as well. Counting the cards reveals that there was an extra card (the ace of spades) with the same back. What happens to the pot? Who takes it? Player 1 is less likely to hit his flush with 15 spades in the deck but just as well the river ace made the boat so player 2 is less likely to suck out. What happens?

Id be less worried about what happens to that pot and more worried about how an extra Ace appeared in the deck.

I am not too worried about the extra ace. The chip set of the person that sets the game up has 2 red decks and 2 blue decks so it is very pausible that the cards got mixed up. I had only been playing with that deck once the tables died down and we combined to make one table. I am not sure who was supposed to check that deck because it came from the other table so it doesn't really affect me. Plus I can not really see a benefit to putting 2 aces in the deck? It is bound to be caught eventually. I would have shit my pants if i got dealt suited aces. Plus I wound up quadrupling up that nite so I have no complaints.

That hand is a misdeal for sure. This kind of occurence is why it is a good idea to ask for a new setup every now and then, or at least count the deck down from time to time.
