2/5 at the falls last night

I'm sitting at about 1100, villain is 2 to my right and was sitting at 3K+ ever since I sat down.

Little history:

He's been making some hero calls all night long, but they haven't been bad, he seems like a half decent player.

I called his EP open to 40 with 77, heads up to the flop.

Flop: 733 rainbow

he bets 50, I flat.

Turn 5d, opens a flush draw

he cuts out 80 and puts it in. I tank for a while and raised to 200, he asks me if I have Aces and I just stare him down. He calls.

River: Qd

He reluctantly checks. I tank for long time and bet 400 and he makes a crying call.

A few hours later in the night for the actual hands now:

He's been bleeding chips ever since my hand against him and only has a stack of about 1800 now, I cover.

I call his EP open to 30 with 56s

Button calls, SB calls.

Flop: Q34 rainbow

SB checks, villain bets 50 I flat, other 2 fold.

Turn 9h, opens a flush draw

He bets 65, I contemplate for a bit and raise to 165, he calls pretty quick.

River Jd

He reluctantly checks again, and I tank bet 300.

How'd I do?

either he played you perfectly and hollywooded his way into your stack or seems like you have him well covered here.

only problem is i'd have a hard time putting you on a hand and if i hit at i'll i'd be REAL tempted to call you.

Because he's stuck and $300 isn't a lot of money relative to his burn rate.

He gave you gifts on the flop and turn. If he has air, you can still get him off it on the river.

He probably has Kings.

$450 on the river, probably $500 because you have him by the balls.

I am not saying he can't. I doubt he folds an overpair here but the bigger range of hands that he is capable of folding make the bluff better. You don't want him making a hero call here with a draw that ended up becoming 2nd pair.
