Ok, so I've been playing at this weekly home game for the last month and a half or so and there are a couple of really LAG players. One of them knows how to play it to perfection, the other one just kinda does his own thing. (maniac for the second one I guess you could call it.)

Anyways every week, these two guys are either out REALLY early or they place 1st. I usually place 2nd or 3rd, but have yet to take down a 1st place finish BECAUSE of these two. I like to think I play a fairly straightforward TAG style of play, but I also know that at points during the game I'll play a little too weak against these players. They scare me off a hand preflop or on the flop.

My question is, what kind of range should I have against these two players, and how should I play it against them? Even though I have a tight image they don't respect my raises, or even my c-bets. I'm just curious as to how you would play against them. Thanks.

Dustin

Edit: Forgot to mention that the style of game is NLHE and everyone starts out with 200 chips and blinds of 1/2 that increase every 20 minutes. Obviously its a SnG style with usually only 1 table and sometimes 2 max.

Play only strong hands. The blind levels are pretty long. Just let them do the work for you. If they call 3-bets lightly then 3-bet AQs+ JJ+ and either hope to make TP or an overpair to the flop, otherwise GIVE UP.
After that play the players tendencies. If he is capable of going over the top with nothing, then bet it. If he's always going to fire if you check, then check into him.
Don't slowplay in position.
Don't defend your blinds with weak hands.
Don't limp or call with hands that have no potential of making a hand that you are willing to go broke with (JT, QJ, KJ...)
The strengh of a hero is defined by the weakness of his villains.

You're playing too tight when the blinds get up there.

play only the hand that you have much chance to win and call and raise many money. And sometimes play some hand evenif you that you will loose but with a small call. Like that when you will have a strong hand they will call you when you will make big raise.
