i have been playing in the casinos alot,and this move always kills me.

Have middle pair on board....scanning table and bamm,see someone reaching for chips......but they dont act,they check.Can this move go either way or is it a sign for a strong hand.

Almost always a weak hand. If they call your bet, they're probably on a draw.

It's the same as you moving for your chips but then you see someone behind you put some chips out like a bet. You think "Oh, they're so eager to bet! I better check." when really it's a transparent attempt to buy a free card.
