I've been trying to formalize the blinds and payout structure for my home games. For the payout structure, homepokertourny reccomends:
1-10 players: 50%, 30%, 20%
11-20 players: 50%, 25%, 15%, 10%
21-30 players: 40%, 25%, 20%, 10%, 5%
This is all well and good except for the fact that we usually only have between 5 and 8 players for our home games. Obviously a payout of three places with only 6 people seems a little much. Any suggestions? How does something like this look:
1-5 players: 100%
6-8 players: 70%, 30%
9-12 players: 50%, 30%, 20%
Or is this too top-heavy?

After some further research, I think I'll stick with what I stated above for 1-12 players... I added a few more in case I need it down the line:
2-5 players: 100%
6-8 players: 70%, 30%
9-12 players: 50%, 30%, 20%
13-20 players: 50%, 25%, 15%, 10%
21-30 players: 45%, 22%, 15%, 10%, 8%
31-40 players: 42%, 20%, 13%, 10%, 8%, 7%
41-50 players: 40%, 20%, 12%, 9%, 8%, 6%, 5%
