It never ceases to amaze me how many players are oblivious to the actions of ther other players.
The other day at the 1/2NL table one player was doing a crossword puzzle. It did work out well for me since as I postedf position and earlier I dont play alot of hands out of position and in EP only premium hands. I was 2 off the BB with QQ. I raised to 15.00 and he glanced up from his puzzle and called. The flop was nothing scary and I made it 25.00. He again looked up and called. On the turn which was another small card I made it 50.00 and he paused and then folded. He had no idea of the hands I had been playing or how many I had folded.
Later in the same game I got Q-Js in MP. I bet 13.00 and got three callers. The flop came 9-10-k raised to 35.00 and got one caller. The river was a 7 and I made it 50.00. He called. The river was an Ace and I bet 75.00 and he called with two pair. If he had been watching he wolkd have realized that these were huge bets for me to place .
