I regularly play with the same group of guys and tend to outplay them for the most part. Anyway the last time we played I ran into a situation in which one of the guys would go all in after the flop in a hand which I was involved. He was doing this frequently and quite frankly it threw me off. I was folding hands like top pair low kicker to this guy. Needless to say I wasn't prepared for this. My question is, what do you do in this situation? Do you wait to hit something like trips or is something like top pair mid kicker good enough to make a stand? Any opinions are appreciated!

It sounds like the guy realized that you could fold to big raises and you could out play him post flop, theatrically its not a bad play at all if you think you are ahead or someone will fold a bettor hand to you... now if someone is doing this to me I pick my spot to go with him usually I’ll go for TPTK or bettor the stronger the easier it is to trap this guy... you have implied odds if you have the nuts to let a free card go even to the river if you have position on him hopefully he will push at the pot kina like Eric did in the 88 world series Chan flopped the nuts and he waited for Eric to push and it was all over...

So against these opponents you have to pick a hand and gambol…

I had a guy in an MTT doing the same thing last week (got 2nd of 650). He would go all-in if he hit top pair, regardless of his kicker. Long story short, he was the bb so I limped big slick from MP. Flop K83rainbow and he goes all-in. Easiest call I made all day.

You beat these guys with traps and patience, pure and simple.

So what's your deal because I used a hand that happened to be in the movie Rounders I’m automatically a bad player? Right, I forgot that you know it all about poker. It would be extremely argent on you behalf to judge me by my use of a hand example.

If I was in the position, I'd try my damndest to only pay in position and with a STRONG hand.
Feels like I'm climbing in a tree.
