cinaft is on a distinguished road
It is about odds versus stats. Some math guys figured out a method of evaluating a hand in flop, turn or river stage (this does not apply to starting hands) through a 2 x 7 matrix of odds. On the first row are the odds of hitting the various hands (from one pair to four of a kind). On the second row are the odds of the opponents beating those hands respectively, IF you hit them. Then, one can compute a strength indicator as a weighted mean of these odds. Have anyone heard about a software doing such calculations, as it seems pretty hard to compute manually 14 probabilities for one hand? I don't know if I am allowed to post links here, but a Google search on strength matrix or strength matrix of a hold'em hand returns some articles on this subject.

Some days it feels like I've been standing forever, waiting for the bank teller to return so I can cash in all these Sklansky Bucks.
