Hello,
I am playing a lot poker in casino for 1/2 £ and also at the online ring for 2/4 $.
I think that my reading skills not that bad....but there is one case ...that i am always fail.
I just cannot read players that pre flp had a pair....and on the flop its already a trips.

Example from yesterday : Its 10 th players table 1/2 £ i was on the button with TT.
all the table called i diceded to limp...and the BB raised to 20 £ ...everybody folded....and i decided to call. The flop was perfect for me 3d 10s Kh . He raised to 25 £ , at his point i thought he has Ak or even Aces...i decide to reraise to 75£....after thinking of move like 5 minuets he pushed....its covered my 140 £...with trips of tens i couldnt fold...and called the all in raise....i was shocked when i saw his cards...it was KK ...at the flop He had trips KKK....of course that there was no more 10 at the board and i lost....
Its sucks to lose to trips ...cause its not easy to read at all.....do you have any better offer or playing this hand or edvises for reading trips?
Thanks,

ChezJ is an unknown quantity at this point
A raise from the BB is very often a big pair or AK. If it's a big raise into a multiplayer field, he just wants to take down the pot or get HU. Most people will not bother raising AQ or less from the BB because they know they will have the worst position on the flop.

In your case, I would not automatically guess the BB had KK but it is certainly in his range, especially when he responds to your 3bet by pushing. Having said that, I have had a player push over the top of my 3bet with only an overpair (KK in fact) vs my set.

Another way to spot a set is when someone makes a significant raise and gets cold called. Many players will only cold call with a pair hoping to flop a set and destack AA/KK.

These tips are not exclusive to live play, by the way.

It's not so much "figuring out they have trips", but how the strength of your hand matches vs their range.

In your hand I am getting it in all day, you lose it's a cooler. Most villains (live especially) aren't getting away from AK, and unlikely KQ, maybe not AA. You beat so many hands.

If you had QQ on a T73 board, then you would likely call his bet instead of raising the flop, so you don't put yourself in a position to stack off when you're way behind, which could now be AA, KK, TT, and you're only ahead of JJ and missed overcards (which the later would fold to a raise)
