All,

Hoping you could give me some more info on NL in Atlantic City. I saw there were a few posts already, but looking for some more specific information.

Looking to play some small stakes NL in Atlantic City. What are the absolute lowest stakes I can play? What are the mins/maxes I can buy in on at these tables? What is the play like? How many tables are there and how long will I have to wait at different times? When is the best time to play?

Looking to play mostly at the Taj or Borgatta, but willing to consider others as well if they are superior.

Thanks in advance!

tropicana has a whole room just for NL. starting with 1/2 NL (100 buy-in i think). great room rates for poker players.

You'll find 1-2 NL at most of the Atlantic City poker rooms. The Tropicana has plenty of NL action, along with the Taj Mahal. The new Showboat room also has 1-2 NL. My friend played there, and did pretty well. He said most of the players were pretty awful.

The new Caesars room also has 1-2 NL. The Borgata has HUGE waiting lists. I went there with friends, and we just got up and left and went to the Taj Mahal, because we weren't about to wait. The waiting list for 2-4 had 25+ people on it (only two tables operating at 2-4), and there were four 1-2 NL tables, with a waiting list of 13 or so.

In my experience, the Tropicana is great. When waiting lists get long, they start up new tables. As long as you go before 7-8ish on a weekend, you should be able to sit down without waiting much, if at all. They also give good comps for NL play. At 1-2 NL you'll make almost 3x what you make in 2-4 Limit.

In my opinion, the Borgata is the best place to play... especially on the weekends. You may have to endure a wait to get on, but I'm tellin' you, most people have NO IDEA what they are doing. 1/2NL, 2/5NL usually has a couple tables going all the time... plus the Borgata girls are smokin'!

This is exactly the type of information we need for our http://www.flopturnriver.com/casinos_la_overview.html section. As you can see we have some nice reviews for casinos on the west coast but we really need to add Atlantic City. Please let me know if anyone wants to write up a review for an Atlantic City casino.

Thanks,
Eric

After I head down to AC a few more times, I wouldn't mind doing a few. So far, I've only been down to the Borgata a handful of times, but I plan on checkin' out more.
