Im hosting a home tourney in my house, 30 people are going to participate and 20 dollars is the entry fee, thats a total prize pool of 600 dollars.

My question to you is this, the final table in the tourney is going to have 5 people, what should be the percentage distribution of the money.. like 40% to winner 30% to 2nd, etc..

As a rule, Home Poker Tourney.com recommends a payout to five places for tourneys that are between 21 and 30 players. So first off you need to increase your final table to at least nine players to avoid making it a crap shoot.

The payout percentages are as such.

1st- 40% ($240)
2nd- 25% ($150)
3rd- 20% ($120)
4th- 10% ($60)
5th- 5% ($30)
