Hi guys,
I just got a deal in my email and booked for 2 nights (27th Nov - 29th Nov) at the MGM Grand @ 69$/night. I am also getting like 35$ credit for food, 35$ gift certificate for desert palace (what the hell is that ??).

Do you think thats a good rate or I can get any better at the strip ?? also how do i get the Poker room rate at MonteCarlo that some people have mentioned in this forum ? that is like 50$ a night right ??

Never played poker in vegas yet. My offline poker experience is exclusively at the local Indian casino (San Manuel Casino in San bernardino, CA) where i play 2-4 and 4-8.

I will read up on the vegas trip reports and will try to absorb as much info as i can.

Check out:

There is a link there to all the poker room rates in Las Vegas, as well as tons of information on the different rooms there.

ChezJ is an unknown quantity at this point
for the poker room rate at monte, just call the poker room (not the hotel reservations line) and ask for it. they don't even make you get rated beforehand. you should be able to find the number at allvegaspoker.

but $69 at mgm is also a great deal in my opinion. i don't know what desert palace is, but desert PASSAGE is the shopping mall down the block at aladdin.
