So I was playing in a live tournament last night with about 20 people. Started out playing great and remained the chip leader through the entire tournament. When it was three handed I had Q10 and called a preflop raise and was heads up going into the flop. It came K J 4. The other guy bet two times the blind and I called. Turn comes Ace. The guy bets about half his stack which was a little less than equal to mine. I stopped to think for a minute, then made a reraise that would have him close to All in. He obliges and goes all in, I insta-called him and he shows K 9 of hearts with no hearts on the board. River comes and he storms off.

Now Im heads up with a guy who was a really annoying player. He took forever to make every decision, like he was thinking as hard as anyone ive ever seen no matter what was in front of him. He never really raised anything, always a call or fold. I have over a 3 to 1 chip lead so its pretty close to over as long as I dont make a huge mistake. So the first hand hes big blind and I have Q 6 of clubs, I limp in, he thinks for 2 minutes, then checks (lol). The flop comes 6 A 2 with two clubs. The guy pushes all in. (uh-oh) So Im in a pickle, he obviously has an Ace but is it worth the gamble to call with just a six and a flush draw? Maybe, Maybe not...today was a maybe day for me so I called...nothing hits, I double him up.

So we take a second to count out chips and push a larger stack his way. Now Im big blind and Im starting to think to myself about my new strategy. (time to get serious and stop screwing around ! LOL) So the cards come and I get dealt 4 5 off suit. He looks at his cards and makes a face like he saw something great, Ive already started to give up in my head as he reaches for chips but he just limps in with 800...So I check right away and the flop comes A 4 5 all different suits. Im stunned so now Im trying to figure out what I should bet, but before I get the chance its on him....he takes his large stack of the $1000 chips and starts stacking them out, I count in my head as he does this (12,000) then he grabs his two yellow stacks and counts out another 3 thousand in $500 chips. So now I stop to think. The only thing that could beat me is 2 3, A 5, or A 4. Why did he limp with just an ace? Would he really call the big blind with 2 3? So I think for a second and theres no doubt I should reraise...so I do...enough to put him all in. He counts them out like he is insta calling and I have to ask because Im unsure of what he is doing and he says yes, I call...(Im stunned) So I turn over my cards to show my two pair and he flips his cards like hes the proudest person in the world and he shows Queens....(HUH????) So Im wondering WTF? Who limps preflop with Queens heads up and then goes all in with an ace on the board? Oh well, I hold my breath as the turn comes and continue to pray as the river hits and whew I won....It was definitely the worst hand Ive ever won a Tournament with and maybe the worst hand Ive won a hand with at showdown! I then found out how much the guy had to drink throughout the night as I later saw him being carried by a couple of his drunk buddies!

I didnt break the bank with my winnings but 350 dollars winnings with a 4 5 offsuit was a proud moment for me!!

Tell me about your worst poker hands that came out to make you some money!

For what it is worth, and off-topic from what you asked …

I don’t know what percentage of the overall chips 15k was, but I believe this an insta-shove after the villain bets like that. Also, the villain’s range here is huge. You have checked twice -- he can/should be showing aggression to take down the pot at this point.
