Awesome tables, bro, except for one thing. You forgot beer holders.
J/K, bro, they're pretty sweet.
Do you have any links to sites that helped you build them?

Good Question, even better answear, i'm gonna buy some cheap stools and cut holes in them and drop 2 cup holders in them, then they can sit inbetween 2 players and a drink never has to touch my table.

Table looks great. I just finished building mine, but haven't done the rail yet. Any tips on that. Seems the vynil will buckle or crease a little around the corners. Any, good job.

These are good instructions. His photos show a LOT of wrinkles IMHO, but his process is right on to do it properly. I did it this way and have absolutely none in mine.
Tips:
-Just take your time
-Have pleanty of room to work (get it up to waist high instead of on the floor if you can)
-Try to get your hands on a nice power stapler
-Get a buddy to help (the extra hands are realy nice to have)
Also... the #1 most important tip. Get good vinyl. Marine Vinly is highly recomended, but Whisper Vinyl is good too. Basically you want to feel it, and make sure it streches easily in BOTH directions. Many vinyl's will only strect in one direction and this is almost guarenteed to give you a hard time.

Do you think there is any profit in building those. My brothera nd I discussed it, but I think the in order to make money you have to sell them on-line, but then the shipping costs would be incredible.

It could be done, but you need to realy look into it first if you mean as a real buisness instead of as something for side cash. Consider local furniture stores, and bars that do occasional poker nights.

i just used the prefabed rail from casinosupply.com, it worked out great for me. i took a look at making it myself, but it just seemed like too much work, so i thought i would try the premade stuff, and if it was bad, i would make it myself, but it turned out great. take a look.

Thanks Pokerdude, I noticed that also and thought about it. How does it attach to the table. Does it stay in place pretty well?
Thanks

Excellent job. Nothing better than taking pride in something you have created. You can honestly say that no one has a table like yours.
And when I look at pizzaman's avatar. all I can think is God bless America.

Nice bases stanky.
The rails are not to difficult if you take your time. The link Spook has has good instructions on doing it. The 3 main reason I did my own rail:
1) can be as wide as you want it
2) it can be better padded
3) it looks better
cmg_poker2 - There probably can be some profit in building them. I just got contracted to build a custom table. I am just doing as an extra hobby, though and not trying to make a huge profit. The main problem is advertising. If you get your table displayed in a store, in order for you to get the same profit, they will have to sell the table for a much higher value, so you are better off selling it direct, but then not as many will be able to see it.

the instructions that came with the rail said to attatch it with 3/4" staples, but that just seemed too flimsy so we used 1 inch wood screws with washers. we may have went a bit overboard, but it actually looks very professional and that rail ain't going no where. i went around the top making sure it was straight and my buddy screwed it in from the bottom, very sturdy and secure, i was very pleased with the results.
BTW, thanks for the compliments all, i am very proud of it and i look forward to poker night, win or lose, just to play on it.

hey guys thanks for all the compliments, the rail was really easy to make, the only thing i might pay abit more attention to is getting an equal tension around the whole rail just to keep it all perfect but it can't be exactly perfect. also make sure it is as tight as you can get it.
I love the bases i made they look so good, we had a 19 man tournament at my place basically the night we finished them and it was awsome they were a huge hit, and the one we gave to our friends was awsome they were so suprised/happy.

Great looking tables stanky. I really like the pedestal legs.
I have made my own poker table as well, but I just used the folding banquet table legs. I would really like to finish the look of the table with some fancier legs like yours.
Here is a pic of my table
http://members.shaw.ca/khabbi/pokertable/table2.jpg
Does the table-top come apart from your legs for storage? If so, how do you attach them for game play?
I can't keep the table set up all the time because we just don't have space. As you can see in the picture, the table goes right in front of the TV for poker night, but then it get taken down and replaced by a couch for normal days.

I got all my soft materials from pokernstuff.com fairly well priced, but if i was going to build another i'd look around town abit more for a better price, but it works good. The legs are detachable, there is a block 2 pieces of plywood thick screwed to the bottom of the top that slides snug into the pedistol legs, then you just screw the leg into the block, it can be undone to move it, but its more of a permenant set up, its not somthing you want to be unscrewing ever poker night. but it can come undone to move. Nice table Khabbi.
I didn't want to go with the banquet legs because it makes a beautiful table look so cheap, and if it was going to be a piece of furnature that sits in my basement on display 24/7 i didn't think mom would appreciate banquet legs, well she doesn't appreciate poker table either, but pedistol legs help.
